Hygiene Consultant at Food Consulting Service

A FIXED TERM position is available for a suitably qualified individual to conduct hygiene audits in the foodservice industry in which we evaluate cleanliness, food safety, and condition of facilities based on R638 regulations and SANS 10049.

FCS is looking for an individual who can advise, and consult with our clients in a friendly, interactive, and professional manner.

The available position in KZN is on a fixed-term basis due to the uncertainties related to COVID-19. Our clients are based throughout Southern Africa, and work travel is part and parcel.

Required Skills

• understanding of microbiology
• driving : 3 to 4 years
• time management : 3 to 4 years
• self-discipline : 3 to 4 years

Candidate Requirements

• BSc Degree in Microbiology or related field.
• Own reliable vehicle and driver’s license essential.
• Must be willing to travel within South Africa and across local borders.
• Good interpersonal skills, self-disciplined, motivated, good time management skills.
• Must be able to work without micro-management.
• Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, email, use of tablets.
• Must be comfortable with working Flexi-time.
