• Responsible for the installation, configuration, monitoring and administration of information
• Technology security Systems for the Municipality.

• Responsible for applying technical expertise in overseeing the installation, configuration,
• administration and monitoring of Information technology security systems.

Key Responsibility Areas    

INFORMATION SECURITY OFFICER 19000800

• Maintain, Control and operate the server and application security systems and infrastructure.
• Implement IT security systems and fault management support procedures for assigned systems.
• Monitor IT systems.
• Analyse logs to help the Municipality by being proactive in its security methodology.
• Monitor the security posture of IT systems and advice on weaknesses identified and provide recommendations for improvements.

• Maintain, control and operate relevant IT security systems and infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain security incident management procedures for assigned systems.
• Promotes information security awareness.
• Perform on-going IT security monitoring.

Essential Requirements    

INFORMATION SECURITY OFFICER 19000800

• Diploma (NQF Level 6) in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) related field and an Information Security related certificate.
• Valid motor vehicle driving license.
• 3 years relevant experience.

SENIOR INFORMATION SECURITY OFFICER 19000800B

• Diploma (NQF Level 6) in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) related field and an Information Security related certificate.
• Valid motor vehicle driving license
• 4 years relevant experience

Preferred Requirements

• Degree (NQF Level 7) in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) related field and an Information Security related certificate.
• 4 years relevant experience.
