    Chief Training Officer (Fire)

    Special Conditions    

    • Required to work overtime on occasion as the demands of the brigade/branch dictate.

    Specialist Engineer (Protection Eng)

    Job Purpose    

    • The effective design, planning and analysis of complex protection systems to ensure a high quality of electricity supply, as well as the efficient control and functioning of the Protection Engineering Division.

    Key Responsibility Areas

    Test Officer

    Job Purpose    

    • The maintenance and repair of protection relays, instruments and test equipment, location of cable faults and testing of electrical plant.

    • Apprentice route Must provide documented proof of having served a recognised
    • apprenticeship prior to undergoing the trade test.
    • ARPL route Must provide documented proof of at least 3 years relevant practical experience at the level of an Electrician and working under the direct supervision of a Competent

    Job Purpose

    Job Purpose

    Job Purpose    

    • Directs professional engineering requirements and procedures to support functional areas within the department through participation in the prioritisation or alignment of the key performance areas to support strategic intent.

    Job Purpose:

    • To provide high level technical advice and assistance and ensure effective analysis, planning and design of low and medium voltage electrical networks and service connections to provide electricity supplies to end users.
