You will learn application and technology architecture processes such as analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and also gain exposure to operations, maintenance, and support of live production environments.
• The Data Engineer role is central to building and maintaining the data infrastructure that supports business insights and decision-making. The position focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure access to information across the organization.

Working within a modern technology ecosystem, the role engages with:

• Big data platforms and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)
• Databases (SQL and NoSQL such as Oracle, MS SQL Server)
• Data processing frameworks (Power BI, Python, Amazon Redshift, Amazon S3, MS Graph)
• Automation and DevOps tools (Docker, GIT, Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence)
• Analytics and reporting tools that enable advanced insights and visualizations
• By combining engineering expertise with these technologies, the role ensures that data is accessible, accurate, and actionable for a wide range of business needs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Must be a South African citizen
• Must be under 30 years of age
• Maximum of two years work experience
• Minimum of 65% average over all years of study
