    Insurance Junior Sales Team Leader

    • The Junior Team Leader of the business unit will be responsible for overseeing and managing the team to maximise sales, minimise risk and ensure that the team is fully aligned in the vision of creating a prosperous South Africa through education.     Requirements

    The Junior Team leader will:

    Lead the operations of the business unit:

    • Create an inspiring and motivated team environment with an open communication culture.
    • Recognize and reward high performance.
    • Listen to team members’ feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts.
    • Set clear team goals, delegate tasks and set deadlines.
    • Assist their line manager in recruiting team members.
    • Set an example for team members in commitment, work ethic and personal character.
    • Catalysing pride in the Futurewise brand and the vision of making a difference in our country.
    • Positively interact and co-operate with members of the organisation, its suppliers and customers.
    • Adhere to all organisation policies and procedures.

    Drive the units performance:

    • Brief team members daily and setting clear daily targets.
    • Monitor team performance and report on metrics.
    • Analyse records of leads, sales and other performance related data to identify opportunities to maximise sales.
    • Coach and develop staff to minimise variation in performance across the business unit.
    • Encourage peer to peer coaching.
    • Problem solve to ensure that challenges to meeting targets are resolved.
    • Quality reviews and correction/verification of sales in which non-risk errors have been made.
    • Discipline staff in accordance with our code of conduct.

    Contribute to the strategic management of the business unit:

    • Reporting on a monthly basis to the line manager and Futurewise management.
    • Assist line manager in developing plans and strategies to achieve agreed targets.
    • Contribute to training, performance and development of the team.
    • Oversight of the administrative duties and management of documentation.

    This role has the following requirements:

    Qualifications

    • Matric
    • Clear ITC and Criminal
    • RE5 – Advantageous

    Experience                                 

    • Must have 2 years sales experience in a contact center environment
    • Strong communication skills, team player, motivated and target orientated
    • Experience in a short-term insurance environment (advantageous)
    • Strong ability to lead and direct people from a coaching and motivational perspective
    • In depth knowledge of call centre metrics and ability to use these metrics to drive performance.

    Skills

    • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite. Highly proficient in MS Excel.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in english.
    • Organizational and time-management skills.
    • Excellent Leadership skills
    • Ability to solve complex problem
