Intercompany Financial Accountant at Robert Walters

• A leading mining multinational company is seeking a CA(SA) to join its established team as an Intercompany Financial Accountant. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with group legal entities worldwide, handling large volumes of data analytics and working in various time zones.
• As an Intercompany Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions between our client's group legal entities. Your responsibilities will include performing monthly intercompany reconciliations, liaising with counterparts worldwide, coordinating transactions, supporting tax-related activities, and maintaining intercompany agreements. You will have the opportunity to work in various time zones, offering a unique global perspective on financial operations.
• Perform monthly intercompany reconciliations resulting from transactions between Group legal entities.
• Liaise with counterparts of other group entities worldwide, as well as with internal departments such as Consolidation, Legal, Tax and Treasury.
• Coordinate and complete monthly intercompany reconciliations including commodities purchase and sales transactions, intercompany loans, funding and interest transactions.
• Support Group Tax with the drafting, finalization and implementation of new intercompany agreements and amendments as required.
• Maintain, update and organise intercompany agreements between Group legal entities and ensure adherence thereto.
• Work with Group legal entities in various time zones.

Requirements:

• CA (SA) with 1-2 years of post-qualification working experience
• Exposure to Intercompany reconciliations
• Excellent knowledge of IFRS reporting
• Exposure to Machine learning and automation tools preferred
