    Intern 18.2 Graduate Metallurgy

    Minimum Required Qualification:

    • NQF 7 (Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma) in Metallurgy, Mining or Related Field

    The Appointee should:

    • Be a South African Citizen.
    • Be medically fit to work in the specific business area.
    • Have a clear security screening record.
    • Have a valid driver’s license (if applicable)
    • Have studied at a South African University.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Only Degrees / Diplomas from recognised South-African Universities / Institutions will be accepted.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Adhere to PGM Processing operation standards and procedures.  Perform all assigned tasks in a safe manner.  Assist team members in the completion of tasks.  Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.  Ensure the adherence to safety rules in the workplace.  Ensure that all Sibanye Stillwater standards are adhered to at all times. Stakeholder Relations  Ensure effective team relationships and support.  Build and maintain partnerships and relationships with all stakeholders within the business.  Engage with relevant stakeholders to gain the necessary knowledge with the business.  Support and promote a positive work environment.  Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Financial Management Cost Savings:  Adhere to cost saving and cash conservation initiatives. Building a values-based organisational culture  Actively support and meaningfully participate in the execution of the segment specific organisational development plan. This support will manifest in the targeted shift in culture as described by a valid culture assessment. ESG Compliance  Align to international responsible mining principles.  SA Gold Operations: Align to World Gold Council (WGC) Responsible Gold Mining Principles (RGMPs).  SA PGM Operations: Enhance Together for Sustainability (eTfS) initiative. SHE Compliance  Maintain and comply with SHE standards within the work environment.  Participate in risk assessments and investigate and take appropriate action as per identified risks.  Adhere to all company policies and procedures. SHE Management:  Instil a culture of SHE leadership within the department.  Participate in regional/local bodies and decision-making forums in the process developing a business relevant external environment, that will result in the longer-term sustainability of the Division. Quality Management System (QMS):  Comply with requirements of the Quality Management System. Focus on safe production & operational excellence  Focus on safety and health as well as operational excellence.
