    Mine Design and Scheduler SF

    The Appointee should:

    • National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or Adult Senior Certificate with numeracy and literacy
    • COM Advanced Survey/ COM Advanced Evaluation/ Drafting qualification/ Mining related qualification (Shift Supervisor & Mine Overseer CC).
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the MRM environment
    • Competent in MS Office suite computer skills commensurate with the role.
    • Efficient in CAD Design and Scheduling Planning systems and applications.
    • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment

    Advantageous Qualifications:

    • Understanding of underground mining or survey environment

    Key Responsibilities:

    Unit Manager Engineering

    The Appointee should:

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Contribute to the development of the strategic mine plans and strategy. Develop, implement and monitor engineering maintenance, risk and operational strategies and plans. Support Asset Management specific standards, specifications and procedures. Provide support in defining and implementing an engineering strategy at a large, complex operation, aligned with the operational and corporate strategy. Identify, implement and manage policies, practices, systems and technologies. Support and implement the Asset Management Strategy and Improvement Plans, adhering to the Sibanye-Stillwater Asset Management Framework.
    • Oversee all engineering work for effective functioning and supporting mining operations. Ensure compliance with all legal, environmental, occupational health and safety and risk management standards and best practices. Support the development of critical spare parts lists using a structured maintenance systems methodology. Participate in segment wide equipment tactics development and review of primary production equipment. Support the development of Life Cycle Cost models for major equipment. Provide support and guidance in the processes of analysing and improving across the operation with the view of identification of common cause events and elimination thereof. Direct maintenance personnel to continuously evaluate compliance and strictly adhere to the established procedures, specifications and policies. Prepare a monthly performance report (equipment performance, work management, reliability incidents KPI’s to identify developing trends). Lead and/or participate in failure analysis/defect elimination techniques for cross functional teams. Ensure that preventative actions are implemented to ensure cost-effective maintenance programs. Drive strategic engineering programmes and projects in line with the Group’s policy.
    • Manage, implement and contribute to continuous improvement and asset optimisation initiatives and projects for engineering processes. Identify value-adding cost saving and optimisation opportunities in collaboration with other stakeholders (Supply Chain, HRD, Safety etc.) in support of continuous improvement. Provide active oversight of continuous improvement programmes, best practice identification and sustainable implementation as per the asset management strategy.
    • Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and externally at all levels and cross-functionally. Ensuring open communication channels with all relevant stakeholders. Sourcing, contracting and negotiating with service providers. Liaising with the necessary entities on any environmental management related requirements and alignment where applicable. Collaborating with external service providers regarding the design and implementation of tools to enhance processes. Managing the finances of the department at the specific operation to achieve Organisational objectives. Working Cost Budgets: Set budgeting parameters for the department at the specific operation in line with business requirements and financial objectives. Approving operational expenditure. Assist in formulating monthly and annual working cost and capital budgets. Cost Savings: Lead and drive cost saving and cash conservation initiatives.

    Supervisor Investigation

    The Appointee should:

    • Be in possession of a National Diploma in Security Risk Management or a Law Enforcement qualification
    • Have at least 5 years’ experience in a crime investigation role

    • Be actively involved in determining crime risk trends and communication of such to all relevant stakeholders
    • Developing and maintaining essential informer networks to gather information

    Mine Overseer Production

    The Appointee should:

    • NQF 4 National Senior Certificate or Equivalent
    • Blasting Certificate
    • Mine Overseer Certificate
    • At least 5 year experience as a Producation Supervisor (Graduates minimum 2 years)
    • Medically fit to work in the specific business area.
    • Clear security screening record.
    • Valid driver’s license (if applicable).

    Additional Requirements:

    • NQF 6 Diploma or Advanced Certificate in Mining Engineering or NQF 7 Degree in Mining Engineering

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Mining Risk Management  Contribute to the management of risk within own field of expertise.  Assess Mining risks and incorporate mitigating controls.  Maintain and update the Mining component of the risk register. Mining Management  Manage the Mining Section teams, systems and processes.  Analyse, interpret Mining data, reports, and take corrective actions as required.  Provide effective problem solving support to the Mining teams.  Participate in the daily Mining meeting  Plan and manage Mining resources (personnel, equipment and materials) as required  Maintain and update the Shaft schedule  Design and plan underground layouts
    • Start of Day Preparation  Check Shift Communication Log book for any problems reported and special instructions that need to be addressed.  Determine material allocations based on the BOM.  Verify materials, consumables and explosives orders.  Monitor Seismic Activity Report and communicate to the Mining teams.  Verify that the Gas Testing procedure has been complied with.  Verify statutory and daily examinations records.
    • Ground Control & Strata Control Support  Assess poor quality support installations and take corrective actions. Secondary Support  Manage the installation of secondary supports, assess poor quality support installations and take corrective actions. Tramming  Manage the Tramming team and activities and plan Tramming activities and targets. Secondary Blasting  Manage Secondary Blasting team and processes. Maintenance  Manage underground maintenance activities. Blasting  Initiate blasts and authorise re-entry to blasted section after observing the prescribed re-entry period. Removal of Brocken Rock (Cleaning & Sweeping)  Plan the location of winches.
    • Underground Operations Projects  Identify Underground Operations improvement opportunities.  Implement Underground Operations improvement projects and initiatives.  Supervise a project team of an Underground Operations project to deliver project objectives.  Contribute to the management of project risk within own field of expertise.  Develop a simple schedule to facilitate effective project execution.  Monitor, evaluate and communicate simple project schedules.

    Unit Manager SOX

    Minimum Required Qualification:

    • Have NQF 8 (Post graduate Diploma / Honours Degree / Professional Qualification Degree)

    The Appointee should:

    • Have a minimum of 5 years’ SOX-related experience
    • Have at least 2 years’ experience in a senior specialist, supervisory, or project leadership role
    • Have strong experience in SOX control documentation, evaluation, and remediation, including ITGCs
    • Have practical experience applying the COSO Internal Control Framework

    • Practical experience in implementing the COSO Internal Control Framework

    • Strong knowledge of COSO and PCAOB requirements
    • Experience in scoping, materiality, deficiency evaluation, and remediation oversight
    • Proficient in identifying key financial reporting risks and controls
    • Ability to conduct a structured process review and issue resolution/deficiency remediation plans
    • Ability to draft detailed deficiency evaluations and present the results to senior management
    • Understanding of SEC rule developments

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the day-to-day execution of the SOX compliance programme in accordance with the approved Group SOX methodology
    • Plan, coordinate, and deliver SOX projects across in-scope operations, systems, and processes
    • Ensure SOX activities are completed accurately, consistently, and within agreed timelines
    • Identify execution risks, bottlenecks, and resourcing constraints and escalate as appropriate to the Senior Manager SOX, Ethics and Policies
    • Perform and coordinate SOX risk assessments, materiality calculations, and account and location scoping activities
    • Lead the identification, design, and documentation of key financial reporting and IT-dependent controls
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date process flows, risk and control matrices (RCMs), and supporting documentation
    • Coordinate and oversee the evaluation of SOX controls, including design and operating effectiveness
    • Perform detailed assessments of control deficiencies, including root cause analysis, severity assessment, identification of compensating controls, and remediation options
    • Draft deficiency evaluations and supporting analyses for review and sign-off by the Senior Manager SOX, Ethics and Policies and the SVP Corporate Finance
    • Track and monitor remediation actions and challenge ineffective or delayed remediation
    • Manage and coordinate quarterly Control Self-Assessment (CSA) and Control Environment Questionnaire (CEQ) processes
    • Monitor submission status, follow up on overdue certifications, and escalate non-compliance
    • Analyse CSA and CEQ results and propose appropriate follow-up actions
    • Act as the primary operational point of contact for process owners, IT control owners, SOX service providers, and external auditors for assigned SOX activities
    • Coordinate walkthroughs, information requests, and issue-resolution discussions
    • Support the Senior Manager SOX, Ethics and Policies in external audit interactions and management reporting as required
