    Supervisor Investigation

    The Appointee should:

    • Be in possession of a National Diploma in Security Risk Management or a Law Enforcement qualification
    • Have at least 5 years’ experience in a crime investigation role
    • Have advanced practical and theoretical knowledge of security and investigation procedures and policies
    • Have a proven track record regarding the investigation of complex serious and organized crime investigations
    • Be willing to travel extensively and work extended hours when required
    • Have the ability to work independently and pay attention to detail and to participate in a team
    • Successfully undergo a screening and verification process, as well as credit and criminal record checks
    • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye-Stillwater Occupational Health Centre

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prevention, detection, and investigation of all crimes within the Sibanye-Stillwater Business
    • Provide feedback on investigated incidents in both verbal and written formats addressing identified risks, and vulnerabilities and providing recommendations to prevent reoccurrences
    • Conduct investigations through investigation techniques, to ensure successful prosecution internal/external and loss recovery where appropriate
    • Be actively involved in determining crime risk trends and communication of such to all relevant stakeholders
    • Developing and maintaining essential informer networks to gather information
    • Attending and providing evidence at disciplinary enquiries and court-related matters
    • Ensuring a high standard of safety in the carrying out of all operations
    • Provide feedback on investigated incidents in both verbal and written formats addressing identified risks, and vulnerabilities and providing recommendations to prevent reoccurrences
