Investment Analyst at The Delta

Who we are looking for

We are looking for an experienced Investment Analyst to join our Capital team. Experience as a founder who has been through fundraising is an alternative and will be considered. This role requires sufficient knowledge of the investment process, due diligence factors and venture assessment. The ideal candidate for this role has a tangential understanding and interest in product development, financial reporting, business analytics, venture funding and corporate strategy.

What you’ll do

• Analyse potential investment opportunities through quantitative and qualitative analysis of all aspects of the venture, including financial information and documentation, to develop and report on findings for our internal investment committee.
• Understanding the full spectrum of the Due Diligence process and investment criteria to inform Due Diligence reporting.
• Preparing client-facing reports and round structuring recommendations.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients as we assess and assist them through the fundraising process.
• Collaborating with other team members in identifying and exploring potential new business opportunities for investments.
• Leading and designing new standards for our venture analysis process.
• Leading, designing and executing workshops for topics such as; Venture Audit and assessment, Pitch deck assessment and feedback. Round planning and funding strategy.
• Support and advise internal teams in developing our proprietary technology solution to facilitate all management functions described above.

What you’ll need

• 5-10 years of relevant work experience and exposure to Venture Capital and the fundraising process.
• CFA qualification would be an advantage.
• Alternatively, experience as a founder, in a start-up or as a VC investor with exposure to due diligence and closing investment rounds.
• Must have knowledge of current investment market conditions and trends.
• Strong analytical skills, fully autonomous, highly energetic, organised, proactive.
• Exceptional communication skills and social abilities to engage with stakeholders.
• Sequential and highly logical problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Location agnostic, but being based in Europe is advantageous.
