Job Description

• Delivering strategic financial control and precise account management, this position ensures financial accuracy and regulatory compliance while supporting daily operational performance in the engineering sector. Working standard full-time hours from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, the role offers flexible start and end times to support individual schedules.
• This position plays a key role in directing core financial functions, maintaining full general ledger integrity, managing working capital, and providing actionable accounting oversight on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate financial records and management accounts.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting functions and core ledger transactions.
• Monitor financial workflows to ensure alignment with standard accounting practices.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis reports for operational decision-making. 
• Reconcile key bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and balance sheet items on a monthly basis. 
• Manage cash flow monitoring, accounts receivable oversight, and payment approvals.
• Ensure statutory compliance including VAT, PAYE, and SARS e-Filing submissions.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Senior Accountant capacity.
• Engineering / Manufacturing industry experience beneficial. 
• Proficiency in Pastel Partner.
• BCom Degree in Accounting or equivalent financial qualification 
• Demonstrated expertise in general ledger maintenance and financial reconciliation 

Desirable Requirements

• Knowledge or experience with Xero.
• Registration with a recognised professional accounting body (e.g., SAIPA, CIMA, or SAICA)
