Our Client, a leading provider of a powerful SaaS platform that optimizes and accelerates businesses offering insurance solutions based in Cape Town, is seeking to employ a highly-skilled IT Business Analyst - Entry Level to join their team. 
As the Technical Business Analyst you’ll improve business processes throughout the organisation by providing valuable insight into true business needs to be elicited via skilful use of empathy, building meaningful relationships with stakeholders and politely challenging the status quo. 
You will also be an integral part and support the development of the team’s objectives.
Experience / Qualifications:

• Degree in BCom Investments and Securities/BSc Geomatics, Engineering and the Built Environment/Masters of Science in Engineering, Geographic Information System and Remote Sensing
• Proven experience in a Technical Business Analyst (BA) role
• Experience in planning and management of analysis activities through delivery
• Exposure to working within an Agile environment or understanding the principles of Agile software development
• Strong stakeholder management experience
• Experience in leading complex projects
• Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
• Excellent interpersonal, influencing and decision-making skills
• Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
• Experience of working in the technology/ digital industry (or similar)

Advantageous:

• Experience working in a Delivery team or Project Management function
• Knowledge of Agile documentation methods, processes and best practices
• Proficient with Confluence and JIRA to deliver various BA outputs
• Ability to translate complex data into insightful stories within a fast-paced 
• Business Analysis certification (APMG AgileBA, BCS or equivalent)
• Experience of working in the Fintech, Insurtech context

Key Responsibilities: 

• Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconciling conflicts, decomposing high-level information into details and distinguishing user requests from underlying true needs and problems worth solving
• Eliciting, validating, prioritising and documenting business and technical requirements using a variety of methods suitable for Agile delivery, such as business cases, stakeholder maps, user journeys, requirements documentation, story maps
• Collaborating with the Scrum Master with analysis phase planning and project delivery
• Proactively communicate with external and internal customers to analyse information needs, functional requirements and business processes
• Serving as an intermediary between the customer community and the software development team
• Collaborating with developers and technical architects to understand technology limitations, recommendations and development options within the underlying business need you are trying to resolve
• Reporting project updates and metrics to keep stakeholders in the loop and measuring value
