    IT Technician - George

    Key Responsibilities

    • Technical Support: Provide first-line support to users, resolving technical issues related to hardware, software, and network systems.
    • Installation and Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and networking equipment.
    • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical problems in a timely and effective manner.
    • Network Administration: Monitor and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and ensure connectivity for end-users.
    • Data Security: Implement and maintain data security protocols, including antivirus and firewall updates.
    • Documentation: Maintain records of IT assets, update technical documentation, and log resolved issues.
    • User Training: Provide guidance and training to end-users on system functionality, security, and best practices.

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    • Education: Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
    • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or a similar role.

    Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and common office software.
    • Knowledge of network configurations, protocols, and equipment (routers, switches, etc.).
    • Experience with IT troubleshooting tools and remote support applications.
    • Certifications: A+ Certification, Network+, or other IT certifications (preferred).
    • Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail
