Stefanutti Stocks Inland is currently looking for the services of an energetic and dynamic Jnr Environmental Officer preferably residing in the West Rand area with experience in the Construction & Mining Industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Compile and update aspect and impact register - for project
Inspections and audits
Reports and audit reports
Intermediate computer skills
Solutions to mitigate possible impacts / pollution prevention
Monitoring of oil water separators and sumps
Inspecting of topsoil stockpiles for erosion and alien invasive species, as well as overseeing seeding thereof
Erosion control measures
Storm water drainage system inspections
Monitoring dust mitigation measures and efficacy thereof
Reporting minor environmental incidents capturing and monitoring of monthly usages
Compile monthly PowerPoint presentations for reporting purpose
Guiding / coaching SHE reps in terms of environmental matters
General administrative duties
Assisting senior safety officer with general duties
Minimum Requirements:
Min 3 -5 years’ experience in Mining and/or construction an advantage
Current / previous earnings MUST be indicated on CV
Exp in construction industry as JNR Environmental officer a must
Qualification essential: BA Degree Environmental sciences or similar a must
Own transport and driver’s license a must
Proficient on MS, Word, PowerPoint and excel
Preferably residing in the west rand area
Well spoken, strong written communication skills in English
