Main purpose of job

SCM will be responsible within SCA subsidiary to:

•         Support Africa branches / posts / sales teams / and align with in-country SCM Coordinators for product supply.
•         Create purchase orders in the system in order to get the product delivered.
•         Ensure product flow is efficient.
•         Monitor and improve the inventory management systems and supply efficiencies to reduce turn-around time and supply problems.

Qualifications

•         Degree / Diploma: Supply Chain Management - Essential

Experience

(SCM & Africa)

•         1-3 years SCM experience within multi-national Consumer Electronics / ICT / FMCG Industry – Preferred
•         2 years relevant Africa experience – Preferred
•         Export Knowledge or experience – Preferred

Major tasks

1.   Create purchase orders for product delivery

2.   Manage; update Purchase & Sales Inventory System (PSI).

3.   Monitor demand plan, forecast accuracy, aging stock, SCM process, order progression

4.   Regular data updates, reporting

5.   Communicate & co-ordinate with HQ and 2 posts Sales Team.

R&Rs:

(Key Activities)

• Working with internal / external stakeholders
•         Enforce Samsung demand planning policy, process, and guideline.
•         Manage Purchase and Sales Inventory System (PSI).
•         Create purchase orders in the system in order to get the product delivered.
•         Ensure actual product allocation from factory matches the quantities requested in purchase order.
•         Negotiate quantities and shipping timelines with the factory & HQ to enable timeous delivery of product
•         Engage with logistics / order desk / factory to prioritise stock for peak sales periods.
•         Monitor SCM process / PSI system for order progression / shipment and highlight issues / delays.
•         Monitor demand plan for the sales week, comparing current orders in the system and all orders that are processed by the order desk team.
•         Monitor forecast accuracy rate and aging stock.
•         Monitor and improve the inventory management systems and supply efficiencies to reduce turn-around time and supply problems.
•         Regular data updates and reporting, sharing, analysis internal / external stakeholders as appropriate.
•         Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual reporting.

•         SCM Systems, Sales / SCM Data (Market/Partner/Channel) Knowledge
