We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Junior Desktop Support Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to end users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and resolving technical problems in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
Attend to all IT related calls logged (Desktops, laptops, printers, network) within prescribed TFMC SLS
Support to all TFMC remote/satellite sites, including travelling and sleeping out
User administration on Siemens Hi-Path System
User administration on Equitrac Printing Accounting System
Pro-active support of all assets (printers, desktops, notebooks and telephones) to ensure optimal availability
Asset management; keeping IT Asset List up to date (printers; desktops; notebooks and telephones)
General housekeeping of regional IT Stores and server rooms
Monthly and ad-hoc reports from PABX and printings systems
Ad-hoc support for SAP Mobility devices
Assistance to IT Operations Manager, Mail Administrator, Network Engineer and Back-up Administrator when required
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional) –or studying towards, with completion of Exam 70-687 (configuring Windows 8.1) or Exam 70-688 (Supporting Windows 8.1) a pre-requisite.
3-5 years of experience in desktop support or a related field
Strong communication and customer service skills
Proficient in Windows and Mac operating systems
Knowledge of computer hardware and software troubleshooting
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A+ certification or relevant technical certifications preferred
