Junior Developer at Sage

 The Junior Developer works alongside more senior members of the team to help develop and enhance Sage Internal Systems. In addition to day-to-day development activity the Associate Developer will also be assigned other duties by the Senior Developers and/or the Software Development Manager including (but not limited to) developing Unit Tests, participating in Code Reviews, and working through continuous improvement activities. This position will also be responsible to help with Service Now tickets logged by the Business for Internal systems.

•     Ensure all tasks are completed to the required quality standards.
•     Keep up to date with relevant technology areas.
•     Responsible for the development of new features, functionality, bug fixes, etc. under direction from senior members of the team.
•     Must be a team player that is willing to engage in discussions around proposed solutions as well as provide constructive feedback.
•     Responsible for reporting status of development tasks through daily standups .
•     Assists the senior developers with estimates and schedules to accomplish software release goals.
•     Adheres to the System Delivery Life Cycle policy.
•     Writes code according to design specifications.
•     Provides support to cross functional teams such as Quality Assurance and Business Analysis on assigned work.

Skills, Know-how And Experience

•     Ability to interpret user requirements and translate these into technical specifications and/or code
•     High numerical reasoning and logic ability with good problem-solving skills
•     Knowledge of one or more relevant programming languages, frameworks and databases
•     Trouble shooting and/or problem-solving skills

Technical / Professional Qualifications
