Junior Engineer - Integrated Rack Solutions at Vertiv

At Vertiv, we always look ahead and prepare for the future. As our company continues to grow, the need for great engineers is becoming bigger and bigger. To prepare for this future, we would like to offer recent graduate the possibility to learn and experiment various roles in Engineering, Technical sales and IT over a period of 18 months with the possibility  to get a full time job afterwards.

We are aiming to offer 3 rotations over a period of 18 months to ensure cross-functional learning and development.

Essential Job Functions of the First Rotation 

• Interact with sales team and business partners. Identify upcoming market trends, competition offerings and generate solutioning around it.
• Facilitation of, and direct involvement with, content creation and data management enabling Customers, Partners, and internal / external stakeholders as appropriate to grow revenue and profitability & also to use data for the solution improvement. 
• Verify Bill of Materials (BOM) for smooth processing and accurate product configuration

How success and optimal performance looks like in the first year:

• Successfully complete the first Engineering rotation by finishing a set of key tasks over a period of 4 months + a 2 months project, working close together with the assigned mentor.
• Start the 2nd rotation by choosing another Engineering Function, Application Engineering, Offering, AR/VR, Artificial Intelligence, Product Marketing and many others

What will make you successful? 

• Education in Engineering or IT
• Language Skills: English 
• Location: Johannesburg, South Africa
• Competent user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Teams) 
• Deep interest and curiosity in all aspects of Engineering or IT
• Knowledge of design tools like Autocad/3D sotfwares tool will be an advantage 
• Problem solver and creative thinker
• Great communicator, able to work in a team
• Be open to rotate in at least 1 more function
