    Junior Master Data Adminstrator - Pretoria

    Responsibilities

    • Data Cleansing and Maintenance tasks

    Secondary Data:

    •  Receives brief from the projects team and accurately and correctly carries out data cleansing tasks.
    •  Applies a logical approach in resolving data inconsistency issues to ensure that the data is cleansed, matched, checked, correct and accurate according to specification brief/s and rules.
    •  Accurately and correctly evaluates large volumes of data and identifies and highlights data points and areas of inconsistency.
    •  Identifies and shares data cleansing process optimization and ongoing refinements with the team.
    •  Share’s learnings, and identifies, recommends, and implements improvements, and changes in the data cleansing process.

    Primary Data:

    •  Applies a logical approach in resolving data inconsistency issues to ensure that the data is cleansed, matched, checked, correct and accurate according to specification brief/s.
    •  Utilizes search engines to check source information before implementing data manually into the Master Data platform.
    •  Seeking out innovative ways to better apply methods when maintaining data sufficiently.

    Ad-Hoc Data Categorization Tasks

    •  Carries out and completes ad hoc tasks and projects as relates to the data processing.
    •  Troubleshoots and resolves ad hoc issues and communicates progress and challenges on an ongoing basis.

    Requirements

    Your skills and experience include

    A Diploma or Degree qualification BCom IS, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Market Research or equivalent. Industry related working experience as a business analyst, data processer, project administrator or similar in an IT, software development or data centric environment is advantageous.

    •  Technical zeal with a high proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
    •  Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail. • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks to meet deadlines as specified.
    •  Troubleshooting skills with the ability to google, investigate and logically figure out an approach to the correct categorization or matching of products as required.
    •  Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and interact with internal team members an ongoing basis.
    •  Pro-active with the ability to communicate progress, developments and difficulties encountered.
    •  Sound problem solving skills with the ability to logically cleanse and categorize data.
