    Key Account Manager

    Do you have the following skills then this role is for you:

    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Extremely detail-oriented
    • Strong MS skills
    • Ability to work independently and within a team to communicate with team members and management on a daily basis
    • Ability to be a team player in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
    • Previous experience in Account Management or Territory Sales and display an attitude that is key to success
    • Strong account management and relationship-building skills
    • Experience of managing major national accounts at head office level
    • Highly self-motivated

     
    You will be responsible for:

    • Develops & implements strategic customer initiatives in order to achieve customer Sales & Profit targets (responsibility for trade spend)
    • Ensures promotional compliance to maximize return on investment
    • Develops strong retailer (KA) relationships to ensure the best implementation of promotional and customer business plans
    • Ensures timely planning and forecasting (including new product development process)
    • Manages and monitors new listings and de-listings specific to KA
    • Manages trade spend and claims (returns) effectively and in a timely manner in cooperation with Trade Marketing and Finance
    • Coordinates & responds to all external & internal KA related queries in a timely & professional manner
    • Playing an integral role in new business pitches and hold responsibility for the effective on-boarding of new clients
    • Identifying and managing the optimal route to market strategy
    • Responsible for the development and achievement of sales through the direct sales channel
    • Focusing on growing and developing existing clients, together with generating new business
    • Write business plans for all current and opportunity tender business
    • Act as the key interface between the customer and all relevant divisions
    • Manage or participate in Cross-Functional Targets
    • Availability to travel as needed

    Qualifications/experience
    Related Bachelor’s Degree required with three years related experience advantageous
