    Key Account Representative

    At RCL FOODS, we don’t just sell food—we Grow What Matters. We’re on a mission to nourish South Africa with purpose, passion, and innovation. As we expand our footprint in the HoReCa (Hotels, Restaurants, Catering) sector, we're seeking a driven and entrepreneurial Key Account Representative who thrives on building business relationships and has a genuine passion for culinary excellence. This role will report to the National Account Manager and will be based in Durban/Johannesburg.

    This is more than a sales role—it’s a chance to shape the future of foodservice, build lasting partnerships, and bring bold, delicious ideas to life.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Matric (Grade 12) & Degree or Diploma in Marketing/Sales
    • 3+ years in sales, preferably in HORECA or foodservice
    • At least 2 years of hands-on culinary experience or formal training
    • A self-starter with a hunter mindset and a passion for food and kitchen culture
    • Proven success in business development, account growth, and sales performance
    • A network of contacts within the HORECA industry.
    • Knowledge of food safety regulations and culinary best practices.
    • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    Business Development & Sales Leadership

    • Proactively identifying and developing opportunities within hotels, restaurants, and caterers.
    • Build strong, strategic relationships with chefs, kitchen managers, and decision-makers.
    • Drive revenue growth through innovative sales strategies, upselling, and cross-selling.
    • Work hand-in-hand with marketing, operations, and customer service to deliver a seamless client experience 
    • Report on performance, market insights, and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.

    Culinary-Driven Consultation

    • Speak the language of chefs. Understand their kitchens, their challenges, and their dreams.
    • Offer tailored culinary solutions, from menu development to product integration.
    • Champion plant-based and category-specific innovations that align with food trends.
    • Leading product demonstrations, launching promotions, and building long-term client partnerships.
    • Acting as a culinary consultant, helping clients enhance their menus, efficiency, and innovation with our solutions.
