Kitchen Designer - Fourways at Leroy Merlin

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Sales Specialist and Measurement Specialist to develop designs based on customer briefs and measurements.
• Communicate effectively with customers to understand their design needs, preferences, and budget
• Translate customer visions and needs into creative designs while respecting their opinions and style preferences.
• Work within budget constraints to create cost-effective and appealing designs.
• Provide expert advice and recommendations to customers on design elements, materials, and finishes
• Maintain regular communication with customers throughout the design process, keeping them informed of progress and any changes
• Utilize information from digital and measurement surveys to inform the design process and provide 1-2 design propositions for customer consideration.
• Ensure designs are finalized within 2 days of receiving accurate customer briefs and measurements.
• Identify and communicate any measurement mistakes to the Measurement Specialist for rectification.
• Approach design with practicality in mind, considering the intended purpose of the space.
• Incorporate space constraints into designs effectively.
• Possess a working knowledge of water and electrical connections to ensure their integration into designs.
• Confidently utilize the 20/20 design program for creating and presenting designs.
• Demonstrate a good understanding of the product offering to enhance designs with available range features.
• Stay informed about sales and margin targets to align designs with business goals.
• Provide recommendations on appropriate materials and finishes to complement the overall design.
• Communicate any technical design issues to be able to improve the process of design 
• Provide training to staff and new joiners as required by the Project Manager.
• Adhere to the Key performance indicators (KPIs) as set out by the Platform Manager.

Requirements

• Matric certificate; an associate's or bachelor's degree in interior design, art, or a related field would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with relevant design and visualization tools.
• Ability to effectively read blueprints.

• The designer will work a 40-hour week with flexible scheduling (caveat might not be Monday-Saturday)Must possess a valid driver's license.
