    Lead Digital Product owner: SME and Soho

    Role purpose:

    • The Lead Digital Product owner: SME and Soho  is accountable for the E2E strategy and execution of the SME and Soho digital roadmap which informs and transforms how we acquire, cross and upsell, retain, engage and service this segment, across the Vodacom ecosystem. 
    • We know the significant contribution SMME’s make to the economy and the important role these businesses play in the sustainability of our country and continent.  This role, together with digital and tech colleagues in VSA, Group and Vodafone Group will help shape our B2B ecommerce programme and connect our digital platform estate in one SME platform by ensuring the correct roadmap is in place, requirements are properly articulated and budgets supporting the build and run are provisioned for. The scope includes digital platforms or capabilities used by F2F channels to ensure a seamless experience across all touchpoints.
    • The successful candidate is a commercially savvy, entrepreneurial thinker and a self-starter. They must be able to work well independently and as part of a team, often external or global, to deliver against the strategy. Since this is a relatively “new” area, they must be able to navigate ambiguity and be comfortable with complexity. Experience in digital product management is essential.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • E2E ownership and prioritisation of Digital Roadmap for SME and Soho segment
    • Adoption of customers onto respective owned and shared platform(s) 
    • Expand platform ecosystem in collaboration with product and partnerships team
    • Increased product penetration of SME and Soho base through digital first approach
    • Manage cross-functional teams (where required) to deliver new or enhance existing platform propositions

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    Technical / Professional Qualifications:

    • Matric
    • 3 Year Business or Marketing Degree or related industry
    • 5 Years of Experience in Digital product management in a leadership role 

    Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

    • Effective Communication and stakeholder management. Must have the ability to influence and challenge decisions
    • Business Acumen
    • Analytical Thinking and Problem Solving
    • Solid understanding of digital platforms to challenge and/or optimise output when required to drive high quality execution and improve business efficiency
    • Proven track record growing a digital platform/capability in at least one area: Content, e-commerce, self-service adoption, data enablement, automation
