It was formed on 1 January 2005, by the merger of the University of the North and the Medical University of South Africa. These previous institutions formed the Turfloop and MEDUNSA campuses of the university, respectively.

A Master’s degree in Human Resources Management or Industrial Psychology.
A minimum of two years’ teaching experience at tertiary institution.
Demonstrable interest in research.
Ability to work together in a team context.
Duties:
Teach at least three of the following modules: Labour Relations, Career Management, Work Behaviour, Behaviour Measurement, Consumer Behaviour, Training Management and/ or Organisational Behaviour.
Contribute to the research environment within the department’s research profile.
Participate in department research and third stream activities.
Participate in and perform designated community engagement duties.
