KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• To facilitate and coordinate undergraduate (and potentially postgraduate) teaching and learning processes in the department.
• Update and develop teaching/learning materials to ensure that relevance and quality are maintained.
• To perform departmental and academic administration.
• To engage in inter-departmental and/or inter-faculty collaborative research in order to generate cross-disciplinary engagement and research outputs.
• To contribute to knowledge creation by conducting research and publishing accredited research outputs relevant to the field.
• To supervise honours and/or Master’s projects

REQUIREMENTS

• A Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics.
• Proven lecturing and teaching experience at an institute of higher education. With demonstrated experience of at least two (2) years teaching/relevant work experience in the field of Applied Mathematics at this level.
• At least one national or international presentation at a conference.
• Willingness to register and complete a PhD in Applied Mathematics within the next 5 years. A PhD degree or proof of enrolment for a PhD will be advantageous.
