Lecturer: Pure Mathematics at University of Cape Town

Requirements for the job:

• A PhD in Pure Mathematics or related field, at the time of appointment,
• A record of research that indicates strong potential in the field, including publications in peer reviewed journals and conference attendance, and, Experience lecturing mathematics at undergraduate level, including evidence of effectiveness as a teacher.

Responsibilities include:

• Teaching and developing undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Mathematics (within and beyond the Faculty of Science).
• Developing and pursuing an active research program, including supervising postgraduate students.
• Course convening, departmental and faculty administrative duties.
