Job Summary:

• The Wits School of Education is seeking to appoint a suitable candidate at Lecturer level to contribute to the School’s initial teacher education programmes, post-graduate teaching and supervision and research in Geography Education.

Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate must meet the following criteria to be appointed:

• PhD in Geography or Geography Education
• A professional teachers’ qualification with Geography as a teaching subject
• Evidence of research ability or potential (a publication record would be an advantage);
• Experience in teaching Geography and Geography methodology at school and/or tertiary level
