LLB (or as otherwise determined by the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development). A minimum of 2 years’ appropriate post qualification legal experience. GPG and DID policies and procedures,
Relevant legislation and Public Service Regulations, understanding of expectations of customers, Understand and have a basic knowledge of legal research principles.
Sound knowledge of the Public Service Act, Public Finance Management Act, Promotion of Access to Information Act,
Promotion of Administrative Justice Act, Protection of Personal Information Act Constitutional and Administrative Law, Contract Law and Interpretation of statutes and other relevant public sector legislation would be strongly recommended.
Duties :
Assist in precontract negotiations, drafting, vetting and reviewing contracts, MOU’s SLA, memorandum and letters on behalf of the Department.
Assist Practitioners to draft and amend Procurement contracts. Assist in managing correspondence in the event of breaches of contract or legal disputes.
Assist in providing key enabling support to business unit within the department.
