    Lenovo ISG (Server) Product Manager

    Client Support and Development

    • Maintain and develop existing client relationships
    • Identify and drive new opportunities for Lenovo ISG products with New customers, work closely with sales teams internally and vendor to identify new business potential.
    • Identify and drive new opportunities for Lenovo ISG products in Existing Rectron customers
    • Follow up / Close leads generated on CRM
    • Maintain and build trusted, long-term business relationships with clients
    • Engage closely with customers and ensure their expectations are met according to their requirements including breakdown of quotes and projects given.
    • Ensure the client’s needs are met, with clear understanding and the relevant technical knowledge to match Lenovo ISG products.
    • Identify and maintain key vendor relationships, including but not limited to Vendor sales, presales and business personnel
    • Effectively plan and use vendor provided funds to engage in demand generation activities with customers and internal sales
    • Assisting all customers and sales team with queries, quotes and orders.

    Product and Promotions

    • Have a clear understanding of product offerings, landscape and roadmaps.
    • Proactively update and advise clients on new and upcoming Lenovo ISG products including but not limited to digital, electronic, media, face to face and events platforms
    • Clearly segment products into sales focus areas, including but not limited to small and medium business opportunities, business solutions, retail solutions and Topical/market related technologies being driven by the vendor.
    • Accurately list new products with key on-line customers based on their defined requirements
    • Effectively plan and use vendor provided funds to promote and generate product interest
    • Hold sales accreditation available from your vendors, timelines and certification to be agreed with your manager.

    Opportunity management

    • Communicate stock and profile planning with presales team resources, ensuring they are enabled to best position pre-sales technical assistance and support.
    • Ensure opportunities are actively tracked in a formal pipeline, Providing sales and vendors with required deal information.
    • Understand and keep abreast with vendor-based pricing and deal management tools, including but not limited to deal protection, deal pricing, rebate and promotions vehicles.
    • Deliver accurate quotations to sales and customers for selected products.

    Operations management

    • Control and maintain company pricing tools and systems in agreed timeframes
    • Control and maintain claims, disputes and payments for vendor pricing programs in agreed timeframes
    • Control and maintain Vendor performance targets and associate rebates in agreed timeframes
    • Efficiently process accurate vendor reports ensuring that deadlines are adhered to and met.
    • Ensure vendor pricing and products are easily and accurately accessible by sales and customers
    • Accurately process purchase orders on both vendor and Rectron systems.
    • Share order references with sales and vendors as required, ensuring systems are updated to reflect best known product arrival dates / estimated time of arrival

    Key Business Measures

    • Meeting regular sales targets
    • Demand and customer development activities
    • Stock metrics including total stock on hand and Ageing
    • Understand and drive vendor targets and measures, this may include measures such as Sell in targets, sell out targets, customer breadth, certification and customer onboarding. These will be understood and agreed on a quarterly basis.
    • Meet Agreed internal response SLA’s
    • New transacting accounts

    Education/Qualification

    • Minimum: Matric Qualification, with a degree or diploma as an advantage

    Experience (experience required for the job)

    • At least 2-3 years Product Management experience in IT sales environment

    Accountabilities

    • Target, GP and Customer Breadth targets to be sent out monthly and approved.
    • Achieve exceptional ratings in client services
    • Being able to identify that stock items are aging
    • Complete all allocated product training
