Logistics Manager - Paarl at KAL Group

Job Specification

• Reporting to the Executive Manager Logistics, the incumbent will on a rotational basis, be responsible for one of the four workstreams of the Distribution Centre. (Workstreams: Inbound, Inventory, Picking, Outbound). 

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (Logistics)
• 4 years related experience
• Advanced level Microsoft Excel proficiency
• Driver’s License & own transport
• Blue Yonder WMS experience will be an advantage

Growth

• Forecasting and planning of resource requirements (people and equipment) to support DC Throughput growth
• Forecasting and planning of warehousing space allocation requirements to support DC Throughput growth
• Forecasting and planning of Service Provider (3PL) requirements to support DC Throughput growth

Optimisation

• Initiation and execution of DC resource optimisation initiatives
• Optimising warehousing operations (materials handling)
• Continuous evaluation of distribution processes and identification of opportunities for improvement
• Execution of policies and standards pertaining to materials handling and ensuring compliance to safety standards

Leveraging Culture & Diversity

• Set performance expectations, provide guidance, and foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture
• Maintain internal and external stakeholder relations
• Responsible for relationship management with stakeholders and ensures adherence to Service Level Agreements

Digital Transformation

• Leveraging advanced system technologies to enhance the efficiency of the DC
• Monitoring of systems service provider support
• Maintaining accurate inventory records and executing inventory control measures to minimize discrepancies and losses
