JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: Matric or equivalent qualification

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION: Matric or equivalent qualification

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Basic Maths and measuring skills
• Setting up off rollers on roll former
• Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English
• Hand writing must be eligible
• Be able to read CAD drawing and interpret
• Sound knowledge of lip channel product
• Active listening
• Fault finding skills – troubleshooting and corrective actions
• Computer literacy

PRIMARY FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:

• Processing according to customer specifications, correct quality and job card requirements
• Understanding machine capabilities
• Set up and operate machine safely and correctly
• Before processing make sure all material is properly identified according to the job card (Serial number  weight , thickness type and material type) and after processing (Correct Grade and material type and quality must be checked)
• Recording of all Quality checks
• Achieve daily production targets
• Perform quality checks and examine products for defects to ensure customer satisfaction
• Recording of production logs and Data on computer
• Recording of all scrap during processing
• Record all non-conformance via DMS system and notify Supervisor
• The employee will perform any other reasonable duties and tasks as required and Assist anywhere on the KR site as long as the employee has the required qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience to do such tasks safely, legally and to the desired performance standard and has been officially instructed by their line manager, or another senior member of their team, to perform in such an alternative capacity.
• Making sure all team members are doing their tasks
• Leading the team to maximize productivity
• Making sure that the Machine does not stand and running to its full capability
• Proper shift handover must be done
• Assist during Stock take counts and preparation.
• Checking of Job cards before and after processing
• Verify input, output, B grades and scrap totals are correct.
