JOB SUMMARY

• Accountable for ensuring that hospital facilities are clean and in good operating conditions. The incumbent is accountable for performing general maintenance and repair of the building, grounds and equipment. 

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications:

• Grade 12
• Engineering N3

Minimum Experience:

• General maintenance experience.
• Sound knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry and electrical wiring.
• The ability to safely operate hand and power tools.

DELIVERABLES

• Complete minor repair work, including repairing of doors, frames and replacing light bulbs,sockets, switches and windows.
• Preforming basic plumbing tasks, such as unclogging drains and fixing leaking faucets and toilets.
• Conducting inspections on control panels and electrical wiring to detect issues and immediately repair .
• Promptly respond to requests for emergency repairs and clean-ups.
• Provide support for internal and external audits.
• Participate in creating toolkits and training materials that will support building a steady skills pipeline.
• Inspect and arrange for repair of fixtures, sewer systems, fire extinguishing systems, mechanical equipment under the direction of the Technical Manager.
• Monitor costs or expenses to achieve cost efficiencies and reduce waste.
• Prepare financial and operational month-end reports.
• Submit feedback and progress updates to the Technical Manager.
