Maintenance Engineer at RPO Recruitment

Job Summary:

RPO Recruitment's client, in the packaging industry, are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing packaging equipment to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity. The Maintenance Engineer will also be responsible for troubleshooting any issues that arise with the equipment, implementing preventive maintenance programs, and managing spare parts inventory.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections of packaging equipment and machinery
• Repair and maintain machinery to ensure optimal performance
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement solutions
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
• Manage spare parts inventory and order necessary supplies
• Train and mentor maintenance technicians
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance engineering, preferably in the packaging industry
• Strong knowledge of packaging equipment and machinery
• Experience with troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations
