Manager: Arms Control Operational Support at Armscor

Job Description:

•  To manage operational and administrative services that enable the compliant acquisition process, tracking and, marketing, and disposal of conventional arms, ensuring alignment with applicable legislation, treaty obligations, and Armscor’s strategic objectives.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12. Bachelor’s degree in International Law, Defense & Security Management, Compliance, Public Policy or related studies. Postgraduate qualification in International Law, Defence & Security Management, Compliance or Public Policy is advantageous.

Experience:

• Minimum 6 years of experience in an arms control environment or a related field, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or team leadership role. Extensive experience in the implementation of arms control systems.
• Proven experience in the arms control industry, with sound knowledge and understanding of South Africa’s national conventional arms control and non-proliferation legislation, as well as foreign requirements related to the treaty on conventional arms.
