Manager: Big Data & AI Architecture and Delivery at MTN

Mission/ Core purpose of the Job

The Manager Big Data & AI Architecture and Delivery key objective of this role is to lead Data and AI architecture capability and delivery of transformations and changes for the Fintech systems.

The role requires the assessment of the current and new Data architecture eco-system and propose technical solutions to align with required changes and business strategy. The role is responsible for ownership of Data Architecture solution and functionalities deployed cross all Fintech Markets. This role leads to design, standardising of the data architectural and integration methodologies for Fintech solutions group wide.

Education

• Minimum of 4-year tertiary degree (Bachelor of Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science / Engineering / Architecture or related field)
• Relevant certification/accreditation/membership with professional body as required

Experience

• Prior experience Financial Services preferred, with experience within the banking/big data/ telecom industry and with Mobile Money being an added advantage
• 5 years relevant industry experience in Financial Services / Consumer Finance concern
• Experience in Integration & Orchestration, Functional Architecture Design, Technical Solution Design.
• Experience in Business Analysis, Risk & Quality Management.
• Proficient in Software Engineering.
• Working knowledge in related Big Data technologies
• In-depth knowledge of API’s, with a proven track records of working within a multi-site integration environment.
• Highly proficient in database management systems like Postgres, Oracle, Mongo, MSSQL
• Proficiency in building strategic data environments and working with and architecting data lakes, with embedded data quality/validation methodologies, and working with structured and unstructured data
