    Manager: Payments Architecture and Delivery

    Key Deliverables

    The Manager Payments Architecture and Delivery will be accountable to achieve the following objectives:

    • To lead and provide expertise on Payments (Open and Closed Loop) application architecture, integration development initiatives, analyzing business requirements and crafting appropriate, cost-effective, and logical Payments solutions
    • Design and architect B2B and B2C Payments platforms and related support tools
    • Deliver Payments solution through both Agile (and Waterfall SDLC processes where needed)
    • Collaborate and communicate with different technical, business and partner teams with clear and consistent communication to deliver greater Payments architecture alignment.
    • Assess and review activities and deliverables of both on and offshore resources that provide architecture and delivery support for Payments
    • Transform complex business requirements into candidate Payments system architectures which also meet security and high availability requirements
    • Leads the design and build of Payments platform ensuring best practices in design and usability
    • Design, develop and implement tools and mechanisms which will reduce the time and effort it takes to integrate Payments Solutions
    • Deliver Payments technology solutions that are tested, maintainable, optimized
    • Deliver designs for components that solve defined Payments technical problems.
    • Identify risks and mitigations and make appropriate technical trade-offs in designs.
    • Lead Integration for legacy systems and payment systems with new Payments technologies using technologies such as service-oriented architecture (SOA) and/or restful APIs
    • Work closely with business together to create technical systems that shape great Payments product experiences.
    • Assess Payments solutions changes, and migration plans and define the change management
    • Support the commercial rollouts of Payments and associated products, such as Payments APIs
    • Lead adviser on Payments integration options and act as a technical SME for Payments integrations by being able to understand the platform in its entirety, from overall architecture
    • Support innovative use cases, by providing technical guidance to stakeholders using the Payments and payments systems
    • Work closely with stakeholders to build a solution based on the business demands and roadmap
    • Lead requirement gathering workshops to ensure all business requirements are captured
    • Support solution deployment planning
    • Review and approval of design and ensure sign off from stakeholders.
    • Promote re-use of Payments solutions across the operating markets.
    • Regular gap analysis of use cases and capabilities to identify growth opportunities.

    Governance

    • Lead, Set up / participate in planned and adhoc meetings for Wallet & Payments Unicorn
    • Drive enterprise-wide Payments transformation initiatives, elicit inputs from relevant parties
    • Drive adequate risk mitigation and controls, and elicit inputs from relevant parties
    • Prepare proposal on change initiatives, SLA policies and procedures for Wallet & Payments Unicorn
    • Sign off approval on changed and new initiatives for Wallet & Payments Unicorn

    Escalations

    Reporting

    Education:

    Key Deliverables

    Purposes of the role is to drive the Fintech technology strategy, architecture and delivery of Beyond Wallet Systems.     Senior Manager: Compliance

    Mission/ Core purpose of the Job

    The Senior Manager: Compliance is responsible for managing the Group Finco Compliance team to ensure employees and the company comply with all industry guidelines, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards. The role is responsible to manage the development and implementation of the Group Finco Compliance strategy. The role will ensure alignment to the guidelines and frameworks provided by MTN Group Risk & Compliance teams with regard to  controls and risk and compliance process, templates, metrics, risk registers etc.

    This role is responsible to oversee and manage the following:

    • Defining controls standards for all processes
    • Ensuring adherence across all Opcos
    • Providing regulatory assistance to Opcos when necessary
    • Monitoring Opcos overall performance and alignment with the Group Finco Compliance strategy
    • Supporting Opcos with the implementation of compliance mechanisms

    Strategy Development and Implementation

    • Review and report on the quality of OpCo Compliance Monitoring and Testing programs and assist in improving their maturity

    • Oversee the design and effectiveness of Group Finco’s detection, monitoring, and reporting operations programme for financial crimes related to money laundering and terrorist funding
    • Stay up to date on all relevant compliance and regulatory requirements within the Telecommunications and FinTech industry

    Governance

    General Manager: Compliance and Financial Crime

    Mission/ Core purpose of the Job

    Acting as a trusted advisor to the business, the General Manager for Enterprise Risk Management  is accountable for global Enterprise Risk Management standards, frameworks and solutions for Group Finco (including Opcos). The role is responsible for the leadership, innovation, governance, and management of a key area of the Business Risk Management structure.
