Manager: Digital Channels Architecture and Delivery at MTN

Mission/ Core purpose of the Job

The Manager Digital Channels Architecture and Delivery role will focus on leading the digital architecture and delivery, management and transformations for all Digital channels and systems. The role requires the assessment of the current digital channels architecture eco-system and propose technical solutions to align with required changes and business strategy. This role will cover fintech and digital consumer facing channels, e-commerce, direct, online, mobile apps (consumer, agent & merchant) & social media.

The role is responsible for ownership and managing the digital channels portfolio deployed cross all Fintech Markets. The role will oversee the design, development and evolution of the different digital interfaces and presences on different platforms and for both Digital and Fintech products, partners and customers ecosystem.  This role leads to design group wide digital solutions

Education:

• Minimum 4-year Academic Degree with Honours (B Eng. / BSc Computing, IT, Degree Preferred, Engineering or related field))
• Relevant certification/accreditation/membership with professional body as required for role

Experience:

• 5 years relevant industry experience in digital, fintech, telecommunication, banking
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in telecommunications, banking, digital architecture, digital product management, content, media and/or applications.
• Experience in managing, leading and implementing innovative digital products and initiatives
• Experience in Digital Channel development and management is advantageous
• Experience in Fintech Systems is advantageous
• Experience in Integration & Orchestration, Functional Architecture Design, Technical Solution Design.
• Experience in Business Analysis, Risk & Quality Management.
• Understanding of the Agile software delivery processes (SCRUM, Kanban preferable)
• Familiarity with RESTful services, HTTP, JSON, Ajax. Python, Linux, Ansible, Terraforms, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Java, Jenkins (or similar build server)
• Familiarity with Swagger or RAML
