Manager: Open API Architecture and Delivery at MTN

Mission/ Core purpose of the Job

The Manager Open API Architecture and Delivery objective of this role is to lead architecture and delivery of transformations and changes for the MTN Open API architecture and design. The role requires the assessment of the current wallet architecture eco-system and propose technical solutions to align with required changes and business strategy

The role is also responsible to lead and support the DevOps and Software Engineering. Accountable for design, development, delivery & maintenance of business-critical applications across Group Finco to meet current and future enterprise software and application needs related Fintech Open API.

The role is responsible for ownership of Open API architecture, platform, solution and functionalities deployed cross all Fintech Markets. This role leads and support to design group wide Open API solutions.

Education:

• Minimum 4-year (B Eng. / BSc Computing, IT, Degree Preferred) in Computer Science/ Information and Communications Technology/ Engineering (or related) Degree
• Relevant certification/accreditation/membership with professional body as required for role

Experience:

• 5 years relevant industry experience Wallet, digital, fintech, telecommunication
• Experience with Wallet and Payments Systems
• Experience in Integration & Orchestration, Functional Architecture Design, Technical Solution Design for Open API technology solutions
• Experience in Business Analysis, Risk & Quality Management.
• Proficient in Software Engineering.
• Understanding of Open API standards, protocols and methods for modern payment and financial systems
• Understanding of the Agile software delivery processes (SCRUM, Kanban preferable)
• Familiarity with RESTful services, HTTP, JSON, Ajax. Python, Linux, Ansible, Terraforms, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Java, Jenkins (or similar build server)
• Familiarity with Swagger or RAML
