Manager: E-Commerce Architecture and Delivery at MTN

Mission/ Core purpose of the Job

The Manager E-Commerce Architecture and Delivery is responsible to provide group wide technology leadership for Fintech E-commerce architecture design and lead implementation of Fintech E-Commerce Unicorn front and backend technology stacks.  The role will provide leadership on new best practices microservices-based architecture for E-Commerce.  Architect will lead to document design ideas that are shared with business, ensuring alignment between the e-commerce systems and business goals. The architect leads to define the capabilities and solutions needed to develop e-commerce and marketplace functionality. This team member must have a broad understanding of the e-commerce, marketplace and payments approaches within different industries and across different types of product or services.  Ecommerce architect provides guidance on E-Commerce application and integration development best practices, functional and technical solution architecture & design. The role requires the ability to both think strategically about business and product priorities and dive deep into technical challenges.

Education:

• Minimum 4-year Academic Degree with Honours (B Eng. / BSc Computing, IT, Degree Preferred)
• Relevant certification/accreditation/membership with professional body as required for role e.g TOGAF

Experience:

• 5 years relevant industry experience e-commerce, digital, fintech, telecommunication
• Experience with various ecommerce and marketplace engines within different industries
• Experience with Payments Systems
• Experience in Integration & Orchestration, Functional Architecture Design, Technical Solution Design.
• Experience in Business Analysis, Risk & Quality Management.
• Proficient in Software Engineering.
