Manager: Remittances Architecture and Delivery at MTN

Mission/ Core purpose of the Job

The Manager Remittances Architecture and Delivery is responsible to provide group wide technology leadership for remittance strategy and the portfolio of products and services for remittances architecture & design and lead the implementation of the Fintech Remittances Unicorn front and backend technology stacks.

The role will provide leadership on new best practices architecture for Remittances that will lead to document design ideas that are shared with business, ensuring alignment between the Remittances systems and business goals. The role leads to define the capabilities and solutions needed to develop remittance functionality. This team member must have a broad understanding of the remittances solutions and approaches within different industries and across different types of product portfolio or services. The Architect Remittance provides guidance on Remittance integration, development of best practices, functional and technical solution architecture & design. The role requires the ability to both think strategically about business and product priorities and dive deep into technical challenges.

Education:

• Minimum 4 year Business Science. Engineering (or related) Degree (B Eng. / BSc Computing, IT, Degree Preferred)

Experience:

• 5 years relevant industry experience in Fintech, Financial Services, remittance, digital, fintech, telecommunication
• Post qualification experience plus at least 4 years in Fintech / banking industry /financial sector specifically in Remittance
• At least 2-3 years’ experience in Remittance Product/Service Management
• Deep understanding of the Fintech ecosystem, players, business models and financial sector or banking industry related best practices
• Experience in managing and implementing innovative Fintech products and within the Telco, financial or banking industry.
• Hands on experience in managing and implementing Fintech/Banking products & services
• Experience in Integration & Orchestration, Functional Architecture Design, Technical Solution Design.
• Experience in Business Analysis, Risk & Quality Management.
• Proficient in Software Engineering.
