    Manager: Credit Reporting

    Purpose Statement

    • To manage and oversee the execution of the Credit Reporting strategy.
    • To articulate Capitec Bank’s credit approach to the Board, non-Executive Director forums and Executive committees.  
    • To enhance the reporting systems and methodology of the Retail Credit Department.

    Experience
    Minimum:

    • Minimum 5 years’ post registration experience in a Financial Services or retail environment
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in interacting and reporting at an Executive level
    • 2 years of supervisory experience.

    Ideal:

    • 5+ years’ post registration experience in a Financial Services or retail environment
    • 2+ years’ experience in interacting and reporting at an Executive level
    • 2+ years of supervisory experience
    • Experience in Excel (VBA) and SQL coding skills for automation of reporting

    Qualifications (Minimum)

    • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) in Accounting - Financial Accounting or Commerce

    Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

    • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) in Accounting - Financial Accounting or Commerce

    Knowledge
    Minimum:

    • The retail credit industry
    • Credit Risk Management
    • Basel III
    • Credit systems and Ms Word
    • Budgeting and accounting principles
    • Credit risk calculations, including arrears pricing and provisioning
    • National Credit Act 
    • IFRS9 and IFRS17
    • Regression Model and overarching granting rules 
    • Capitec Bank’s Credit Policy (including collections and recoveries policies)
    • Central Collections and Recoveries (external debt collection and debt review) environment 

    Ideal:

    • Extensive understanding of banking and credit
