Manager Perishables at Pick n Pay Stores Limited

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12
• 3–4 years’ experience in a food retail/perishables environment
• Proven experience managing a team within a retail store
• Strong understanding of stock control, shrinkage, and departmental profitability

Key Responsibilities

• Drive department turnover and achieve sales targets
• Control shrinkage, wastage, and stock losses
• Ensure accurate ordering and optimal stock levels
• Maintain strict cold chain, hygiene, and food safety standards
• Ensure department is fully trade-ready before store opening
• Execute promotions in line with the promotional calendar
• Maintain strong merchandising and display standards
• Monitor stock rotation and product quality
• Manage and develop team members to deliver operational excellence
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and systems (SAP, stock processing, waste control)
