    Manager: Social Services.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Matric Certificate/Grade 12
    • A relevant B Degree related to the field of Social Services
    • Seven (7) years' experience at officer level in the relevant filed
    • Computer Literacy
    • A valid driver's license.

    COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

    • Interpersonal Relationships- The ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with people within and outside of the Municipality.
    • Communication -The capacity to listen attentively, grasp issues, present information in a clear manner and respond appropriately to verbal and written communication of others.
    • Service Delivery Orientation- The ability to explore and implement new ways of delivering services that contribute to the improvement of municipal processes in order to achieve municipal goals.
    • Coaching and Mentoring- The ability to assess skills, performance, and potential of subordinates and to encourage their development with the view of optimizing their talent.
    • Direction Setting -The ability to create a clear sense of common purpose and vision for others with a view to obtaining buy in and commitment to the goals of the unit. solving skills.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manages the Social Services key performance areas and result indicators through the formulation of immediate and short to medium term functional plans.
    • Overseeing the implementation service delivery and maintenance programmes, interaction and communication with functional and community-based role-players to enable needs identification and prioritization of services.
    • Controls the operations and activities associated with the functioning of the libraries, mobile libraries and e-Library facility in the local area.
    • Directs and controls the planning and execution of specific approaches associated with the delivery of services and maintenance of office and public facilities.
    • Providing guidelines to enable set-up and implementation of Regional Forums to serve as an avenue to facilitate functional information and receive public comment.
