    Manager - Specialised Health

    Requirements

    • A relevant tertiary qualification in Health Management or a related field, preferably with a post graduate qualification in the health field.
    • 5 to 8 years’ relevant experience within a public health management environment, with demonstrable experience in leading and managing multidisciplinary teams.
    • Registration with the applicable professional body (e.g. SANC, HPCSA)
    • Ability to interface and engage effectively with politicians, the public, the legal fraternity, and other influential stakeholders in complex and high-pressure situations.
    • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications to support planning, reporting, and communication.
    • Strong project management skills and excellent report writing ability, with a track record of implementing health programmes and service improvements.
    • A valid Code B driver’s licence would be an advantage

    Key Performance Areas

    • Provide strategic direction and leadership with regards to formulation and implementation of policies, processes and procedures to the Department in order to achieve overall alignment with the City, Provincial and National Strategic priorities
    • Provide direction to the management of Specialised Health functions and co-ordinate, oversee and monitor the performance for the departments within Specialised Health
    • Manage and co-ordinate the key performance areas of staff and ensure adequate planning for efficient and effective service delivery
    • Facilitate equitable service delivery, ensuring ethical leadership and upholding of strong corporate governance principles
    • Manage financial resources, including the development and implementation of an approved Capital and Operating budget
    • Communication and relationship building with internal and external stakeholders
