    Professional Nurse (Specialty Nursing) Grade 1 (Quality Assurance)

    Requirements :

    • Grade 12 with Basic qualification accredited with the South African Nursing Council in terms of Government Notice R.425 (Diploma / Degree) or equivalent in nursing as a Professional Nurse.
    • Post Basic qualification with the duration of at least 1 year accredited with the SANC in terms of Government Notice R.48 (Clinical Nursing. Science, Health Assessment, Treatment and Care.
    • A minimum of 4 years appropriate /recognizable experience in Nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. Knowledge of quality assurance prescripts (OHSC, OHS, Risk Identification etc.) .Computer literacy and Driver’s license is essential.

    Duties :

    • The incumbent will plan, implement, evaluate, maintain, control and coordinate quality assurance in the facility. He or she must ensure availability, facilitate development and the review of protocols and SOPs in the facility in line with Ideal Clinic Realization Framework.
    • Planning ICRM activities. Work together with facility manager in identifying facility needs and populating demand plans annually. Monitor implementation of QIPs, evaluate and update all systems on progress of the facility toward improvement of quality health care.
    • Ensure that the facility has supplies and functional equipment for emergency services and disaster management. Ensure implementation of Ideal Clinic, OHSC, occupational Health and Safety policy, complaints [compliments and suggestion guidelines and monitoring of compliance].
    • Implementation of patient safety incidents guidelines, infection prevention and control guidelines/policies. Implementation and monitoring of Health Care Waste compliance.
    • Ensure availability of contracts and SLAs for service providers and partners. Develop quality Improvement plans for the facility collaborating with all team members and stakeholder.
    • Hold quality assurance meetings in the facility and attend district and other levels meetings as expected. Ensure functional Clinic Committee, Quality improvement teams and other QA teams. Write quality assurance reports and submit to the next level as expected. Participate in multidisciplinary quality assurance teams.
    • Advocate for rights of the clients in the facility and promote Batho- Pele principles. Conduct client satisfaction survey and monitor the system routinely for compliance. Liaise with sub district quality assurance coordinator and other program coordinators. Facilitate participation of staff in the staff satisfaction survey annually.
    • Facilitate training of staff and conduct in service training to all staff on quality assurance issues.

    Staff Nurse Grade 1

    Requirements :

    • Organise campaigns to address poor performing indicators of the facility and District. Ensure work allocation to the team and monitor performance (PMDS) of CHWs.
    • Liaise with Ward Councilor with the assistance of the Facility Manager and other community structures with regards to overall activities of CHWs in the community.

    Dentist Developmental

    Requirements :

    • Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as a Dentist. Exper'ience in working in Service-Learning sites, with an emphasis on Community Dentistry.
    • Keen interest in becoming a registrar in Community Dentistry. This ls Fulltime Postgraduate Fixed Term Training Program. Experience in teaching undergraduate programmes will be an advantage.
    • Applicants must have worked in a public oral health clinical setting, which will reflect an interest in Community Dentistry. No transfer to other Dental Schools in SA during the 2 year contract period allowed

    Duties :

    • During the contracted period, the incumbent will be expected to work side by side with registrars in Community Dentistry, rendering patient service under the guidance and supervision of the consultants to gain experience ln managing patients at the Oral Health Centre and Service-learning sites. The incumbent will be expected to also register for a postgraduate academic programme such as MDS in preparation for consideration for registrarship in Community Dentistry when the post becomes available.
    • This is a 2- year contract post, which is renewable annually based on performance. If there is poor performance in the first year, the contract will be terminated.     Anaesthetist

    Clinical Programme Coordinator Grade 1

    Requirements :

    Radiographer

    Requirements :

    • Grade 12 with National Diploma / Degree in Diagnostic Radiography Qualification. Proof of registration as an independent practitioner and current annual registration with HPCSA.
    • No experience required after registration with HPCSA in relevant profession. Must have completed community service as per requirements of the professional body. Computer literacy essential.

    • Assist in the training of Community Service Radiographers. Assist in producing quality images and participate in departmental quality assurance tests. Participate and facilitate in CPD as required by the HPCSA.
    • To adhere to Batho Pele principles, National core standards, Quality Assurance and other Public Service policies and acts. Carry out duties delegated by the departmental management. Must be a team player within the department and institution.

    Laundry Supervisor

    Requirements :

    • Grade 10 or ABET level 04 qualification. Must be computer literate. Be able to work under pressure. Be able to work shifts including public holidays. Good communication, numerical, organizing and supervisory skills. 3 years relevant experience required. Knowledge of working procedures in a laundry working environment.
