Manager: Workshop/Production - B-One at The Building Company

Job Description

• The main purpose of the job is to aid the cluster/chief operations manager, while adhering to company policies and procedures

Fleet management

• Ensuring company vehicles are serviced and maintained according to standards and company policy

People Management

• To lead, develop, motivate, and manage the performance of the team and ensure an optimally skilled, motivated, and high-performance team

Procurement, stock control and merchandising

• To ensure that the department runs smoothly, products are purchased in line with the company’s procurement policies and procedures, stock levels are kept in optimal levels and stock losses are controlled

Customer Services

• Ensure that customer complaints are dealt with in an effective manner and resolved.

Maintenance of workshop

• Ensuring that the workshop is always maintained in a neat and tidy condition
• Daily checks regarding maintenance and accuracy of machinery

Planning

• Ensure forecast and planning is done to ensure maximum efficiency of vehicles

Fuel dispensing, control & planning

• Planning over fuel consumption and usage
• Control over fuel dispensing and record keeping

Job Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Minimum 2 years’ practical experience in mechanical work &=and management
• Effective communication skills – verbal and written
• Valid B or C1 Drivers licence
• Knowledge of Aarto
• Diesel Mechanic
• Red Seal Qualification (an official Trade Certificate issued by Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO)
