What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

• Reporting directly into the CEO, you will be able to get an eagle-eye view of the business and you will drive business direction, initiatives and ideas to capitalize on new growth opportunities
• You will be seen as a trusted partner, representing the Executive function at a Strategic Management level, responsible for securing Capital and Funding to enable business growth and engagement with Partners to broaden Revenue streams and oversee the Platform Banking and SME projects
• You will also be responsible for implementing and integrating strategies that generate income to sustain the future plans of the bank, developing future business strategies, whilst also being responsible for excellence and delivery in the SME and Platform Banking / Retail Banking environment

Where you’ll be doing it

• You’ll join a specialist investment bank that provides bespoke financial services to private, corporate, and institutional clients. Their offices are in JHB and Durban, and you can expect to travel between the offices on a monthly basis (you can be based in either Joburg, Durban or Cape town but traveling will be required).

What you’ll need

• Ideally, you will have a MBA, coupled with a BCom Degree / Fin Degree (Hons)
• You will have over 10 years experience at a General Management or EXCO level managing income-generating divisions of a Bank, plus 5 years experience driving SME and Retail Banking projects from start to finish.

Direct experience in the design and management of digital products in the financial services industry as well as managing transactional products in a retail banking environment will be an added advantage. And finally, you’ll need to have experience on initiatives and ideas to capitalize on new growth opportunities.
