Marketing and Communications Manager at UD Trucks

Job Overview

• UD Trucks is known for our pioneering technologies and products within the commercial automotive industry. This Position will be responsible for strategic UD Trucks Dealer marketing support and working across internal UD teams to execute marketing activities. An individual with a customer centric approach as well as a deep understanding of digital marketing will be suitable for this role.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Campaign and SoMe management 
•  Developing and executing comprehensive, integrated B2B demand generation campaigns including email marketing, direct mail, webinar, SoMe
•  A concrete understanding of planning, implementing and optimization of communication and social media campaigns, including the ability to identify and track relevant metrics across the web and social media
•  Lead and oversee the implementation of digital platforms and educate the dealer network on the utilization of the channels.
•  Interacting with the public and responding to queries through the website and social media platforms
•  Managing correct application of UD Trucks SA brand on different platforms
•  Regularly reviewing and updating campaign ideas based on content performance

Lead generation 

•  Develop lead generation campaign strategy, objectives, goals, metrics, and define best practices, standards and processes to drive successful customer acquisition and customer upsell opportunities
•  Manage lead nurturing programs to accelerate prospect movement through the demand generation sales funnel
•  Maintain calendar of all demand generation campaigns/programs, tactics, budgets, and metrics to optimize awareness and lead generation efforts
•  Support the implementation and adaptation of Salesforce within the UD Trucks SA dealer network

Agency management 

•  Working in partnership with the creative team, develop creative briefs and guide creative direction to meet objectives for all advertising and public facing communications, including print, digital, website, and video assets
•  Conduct regular checkpoints and meetings with agencies to manage workflow, throughput, priorities, and quality

Internal marketing 

•  Support internal stakeholders with the development and execution of the internal marketing communication strategy, staff events and activations 
•  Assist Product team in the development of sales tools including collateral, competitive positioning, go-to-market campaign content, etc.

Event management 

•  Partner with stakeholders in conceptualization and execution of customer face to face, virtual and hybrid events
•  Conduct site inspections, research and evaluate venues and facilities; make recommendations
•  Support in execution of the events, taking lead in specific event execution

Reporting

•  Analyzing and reporting on the performance of marketing campaigns on different platforms

Minimum qualifications

•  Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications or related university degree 
•  At least 5-8 years of marketing communications experience within commercial vehicles or automotive industry, preferably in multinational companies
•  Good understanding of products, services and customers in the commercial vehicle or automotive industry
•  Drive to take initiatives, improve, and deliver results
•  Structured and systematic way of working
•  Open minded, transparent and willing to learn
•  Strong interpersonal skills with service-minded attitude
•  Share common UD values, code of conduct with high ethical standards.
•  Fluent in English, written and spoken 
•  PC and MS Office proficient 
•  Basic Photoshop, Movie editing or similar skill
