Working with the BU Executive Team, provide marketing inputs to the BU Business Plan to support business growth and achievement of BU objectives
Develop a marketing strategy, with brand and portfolio objectives, strategies and plans in line with Corporate Objectives and the Company Business Plan.
Support and facilitate development and implementation of sectoral and regional marketing initiatives SG/HR/Safintra SA/mod ss Sept
Plan and administer the firm’s Marketing budget.Manage agencies, suppliers, the media, service providers and partners
Support a marketing led ethos throughout the business to drive customer focused decision making
Commission research into, and report on, market and channel opportunities
Apply appropriate metrics, including sales figures, market share data, customer satisfaction to measure marketing ROI.
Manage and develop the company’s brands
Manage brand alignment across varied territories, and harmonise and integrate regional strategies for all brands
Direct and Manage day to day activities and outputs of creative, media, digital, web Apply Corporate Identity application and control protocols and all other marketing communications agencies and service providers.
Be a co-driver on business development activities, to assist, support and guide in terms of segmentation, channels to market, new opportunities, general market and product development
Collaborate with relevant senior management to plan, create and produce communications used in support of new products, channels, new business activities and programs
Undertake market research to inform business decisions for business and new product development, and facilitate pan-Group collaboration to develop and launch new products or services.
Develop and deliver insightful presentations and strategies to the executive team,customers, trade channels, the Group and other regions/ countries of operation, as appropriate.
Build and develop a marketing driven culture within the organisation, working with all segments of BU management to demonstrate the contribution made by Marketing to the Strategic Suite and the Business.
Assist in the development of suitable training materials for Sales, technical and related personnel in the BU, including Field Service Agents and retail employees, and in the development of standardised Technical, Sales and Installer training aides for all BU products and brands across the Southern region.
Together with the Southern Region Marketing Head – set clear briefs for procurement of services and goods.
Manage the contracts associated with marketing service providers, and work to BU protocols in entering, managing, renewing or cancelling such contracts.
Ensure that the BU undertakes accurate & timeous capitalisation of marketing assets (shop fitting, displays etc) SG/HR/Safintra SA/mod ss Sept
All above reporting done in line with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) - accruals, cash and expense management formulation
Requirements
General work experience (years): A minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales and / or marketing, with a minimum of 3 years in marketing, and 3 years of management experience
Specific to the position (level/discipline/years): At least 3 years’ experience in B-2-B marketing
Industry: Manufacturing and Construction is preferred, not compulsory Strong strategic skills
Excellent operational skills to ensure optimal execution
Very good knowledge of the company, its products and markets
A working knowledge of the Safal Group, its brands, its activities, and its relevance to the BU and the Region.
Financial understanding sufficient to contribute to the C suite of the BU
Computing and digital knowledge sufficient to ensure excellent execution of the job functions required. A strong command of spoken and written English (the business language of the Safal Group)
