    Marketing & Sales Manager - ELSE

    About the Job

    You will be working as Marketing & Sales Manager and will be the part of Electrification business area for Service division based in Longmeadow, South Africa. In this role you will be reporting to Area Sales Manager and will be responsible to lead and develop the service sales team to exceed the sales targets through high performance in order to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, develop and ensure successful implementation of the service sales strategy nationally aligned with global service priorities and local strategic direction, to profitably achieve qualitative and quantitative targets

    Your responsibilities

    • Creating, planning and implementing service sales strategy by increasing the installed base (IB) penetration, effectively utilizing ServIS (the approved Service database), promoting value add service product offerings supporting Life Cycle Management (LCM), developing and implementing a growth strategy for channels and channel partners
    • Achieving service sales volume by ensuring the team sells entire service portfolio, participating in negotiations of major contracts to secure service sales volume, ensuring achievement of service sales targets, providing cost effective solutions to the customers and initiating improvement plans as needed, growing digital service offerings
    • In collaboration with the service sales team generating and identifying service sales leads by analyzing the IB potential and targeting those new IB opportunities from emerging trends with the service solutions available, determining account and acquisition plans to support growth, developing a long-term depth of pipeline and recurring opportunities, seeking to expand service revenues via channel partners
    • Establishing long term customer relationships with key customers and decision makers by understanding the requirements, regulations and exhibiting high expertise in technical solutions and products, ensuring customer satisfaction issues are registered and responded to by team, supporting the team by participating in sales activities when needed
    • Responsible for feedback on sales development, distribution of resources for service sales activities and the current status of the market, collaborating with business units and account teams to position different service offerings, evaluating and sharing relevant information on installed base data, sales leads, customer’s and competitor’s solutions and marketing trends with the team
    • Monitoring client financial status and reporting any changes regarding risk to relevant internal partner teams, identifying and managing potential risks relating to contract agreements across customers/channels, driving health and safety practices in own unit

    Your background

    • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
    • Minimum 10 years experience in the low voltage and medium voltage market
    • Sales and marketing understanding, general knowledge of customer products, applications and processes, excellent skills in customer relations with mature selling behavior and actively drive discussions and negotiations
    • Good knowledge in contract and risk management, understand and use sales processes and related tools, knowledge of health and safety procedures and relate to ABB
    • Ability to identify customer service needs and to match those with ABB service offerings, ability to find innovative solutions to meet customer requirements, ability to accurately estimate costs of service offerings, takes steps to share and leverage cooperation and knowledge across the organization
    • Willing to travel local and international
    • Fluency in English language is mandatory
